Does LolliDrop water on a timer?
No. LolliDrop uses soil moisture readings to decide when your plant needs water.
Does each plant need its own LolliDrop?
Yes. LolliDrop is designed as a dedicated watering system for one plant at a time. If you have more than one plant, use one LolliDrop per plant, then manage all of them together in one app and one Alexa connection.
Does LolliDrop need Wi-Fi?
Yes. LolliDrop uses Wi-Fi to send plant status updates and app alerts.
Are batteries included?
No. LolliDrop requires two AA batteries.
How much water does the bag hold?
The included water bag holds 24 ounces.
How long does the 24-ounce bag last when I'm on vacation?
For an average 6-inch tropical houseplant, 24 ounces provides roughly 1 to 2 weeks of watering. For longer trips, simply swap the tubing into a standard larger clean water container or bottle.
What happens if the bag is empty?
LolliDrop can detect low or empty water conditions, show status in the app, and send you a notification.
Does LolliDrop work with Alexa?
Yes. Link Alexa from your LolliDrop account and say phrases such as "Alexa, ask LolliDrop if any water bags are empty," "Alexa, ask LolliDrop how my plants are doing," or "Alexa, ask LolliDrop how Monstera is doing." Alexa can give you a spoken summary of your plants, identify water bags that need attention, and answer for one plant by name. Learn how to connect Alexa.
Does it work in all soil types, like chunky aroid mix?
Yes. LolliDrop uses TDR soil sensing, which reads moisture in real soil instead of relying on a simple timer. That includes premium chunky, bark-heavy aroid mixes, as well as more standard tropical houseplant blends.
Does LolliDrop require a subscription?
No. LolliDrop does not require a subscription.
Is LolliDrop better than a timer watering kit?
LolliDrop is different from timer kits because it uses soil moisture readings instead of watering on a fixed schedule.
